Hello Everyone,
My name is Angela Moultrie and I am pleased to have been appointed to a second term as chairperson of the Black Faculty and Staff Association Professional Development Committee.
Our first committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, at noon on the Eastern Campus,1101 East 33rd Street in Room B101. We will be discussing, planning, and coordinating events that will be held this year. Listed below are a few of the events that are scheduled and/or soon to scheduled to take place.
- The Annual Women's Luncheon with keynote speaker, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake
- Our Round Table discussions, designed to bring together the JH community to address topics we find of interest
- A new Mentor/mentee professional development program
To make our events successful, I need your ideas, wisdom and help. Please consider working with this committee. I believe this is going to be a truly exciting year!

The Professional Development Committee has several goals that include the following:

Expose BFSA membership to pertinent topics related to personal growth and professional development throughout the academic year;

Expose BFSA membership to pertinent work being done by faculty on campus in disciplines such as business, engineering psychology, sociology, science, literature, political science, history, etc.;

Expose BFSA membership to pertinent work in the above stated disciplines from area universities and organizations.
